Summer School
- An academic enrichment program for Grades 1st through
8th will be offered in the mornings from June 18 to July 18, 2008, at
both the San Leandro and Alameda campuses. Students will work on improving
their skills in Language Arts, especially reading comprehension strategies,
and Mathematics, especially problem-solving skills.
- An academic challenge program for middle school and
high school students is offered in the mornings at the San Leandro campus
from June 18 to July 25, 2008. Middle school students can challenge
classes for purposes of advancing to the next level in the fall. High
school students can earn one semester of credit in English, Mandarin,
or History.
- The Afternoon enrichment program gives elementary students
the opportunity to explore and expand their life experiences. Students
take excursions every week and take classes in cooking, arts and crafts,
hands on science, music exploration, model rocketry, and a variety of
other classes.
- Weekly Sports camps are offered for middle school students
to give them the opportunity to develop their athletic skills in basketball,
soccer, volleyball, and track. Participants engage in team play as well
as learn practice drills and games strategies.
