Test Scores CCS students perform well above national norms on standardized tests and on average, among the top 10% in the nation:
Percentile scores indicate the percentage of students who did not do as well. An 85 percentile score means that on average, a CCS student did better than 85% of the students in that grade. For the 8th year in a row, CCS students scored in the academic top 10% in the nation. On college admissions tests, Chinese Christian Schools' graduates over the past five years have an average combined SAT-I score of 1154, with 1000 being the national norm. The last five graduating classes have had an average SAT-I Verbal score of 542 and an average SAT-I Math score of 612. A score of about 500 is average for college-bound graduates on each of these exams. Academics Chinese Christian Schools recognizes the importance of comprehensive instruction without forgetting that its educational focus is academic. Classes are taught at various levels (e.g. Honors, College Prep, High School) to meet the developmental needs of students. Instruction involves the imparting of knowledge (facts), wisdom (application), and understanding (experience). A perfect 100% of CCS graduates have gone on to college with 90% accepted into four-year colleges and over 85% choosing to enter these institutions. Chinese Christian Schools students win numerous awards in academic competitions each year. The school currently has 30 AP Scholars, 91 CIF Scholar Athletes, and won 10 Scholastic Championship Team Awards in the past two years. |
