- Content, or what we teach. It must be Bible-based and Christ-centered, thus aligning itself with absolute truth. It must also be a balance of knowledge (facts), wisdom (application), and understanding (experience).
- Context, or why we teach. All education takes place within a moral context of why we think this information is important and what we want our students to do with it. Quality instruction takes place in a Christian context, meaning we teach our students how to live, not just what to know.
- Character, or who we are as teachers. Much of what students learn is "caught, not taught." The personal example and testimony of the teacher is crucial to motivating and inspiring students to learn.
- Caring, or how we teach. Our motivation and selection of methodologies must be motivated out of love, not greed, selfishness, or fear, in order to be effective and blessed by God.
